THAM LOD CAVE, MAE HONG SON

Overview

Tham Lod Cave is one of Northern Thailand's largest and most impressive cave systems, located approximately 75 kilometers northwest of Pai in Pang Mapha District, Mae Hong Son Province.

Carved over thousands of years by the Lang River, the cave stretches for more than 1.6 kilometers and contains magnificent limestone formations, enormous chambers, and a flowing underground river.

Visitors explore the cave by guided bamboo raft and on foot, discovering spectacular stalactites, stalagmites, ancient teak coffins, and one of the region's most fascinating natural landscapes.
