Wat Phumin is located in the heart of Nan City, directly opposite the Nan National Museum. It is one of the oldest and most important temples in northern Thailand.
Originally built in 1596 during the reign of Chao Chetabut Phrommin, the temple is renowned for its distinctive cross-shaped ubosot (ordination hall), which also serves as the viharn.
